Loop Lottery Selection Completed for 2018!

We have completed the 2018 Loop Lottery selections and emails are headed out to lucky runners!

You can check your lottery status here: https://runsignup.com/Race/RegistrationLookup/?raceId=5968

If you don’t get an email from us today (January 22), please check your spam folder.

As you know, the Loop Lottery this year far surpassed our expectations and we are considering a two wave start for the 2018 Loop.

We have heard your response — when asked, 92% of runners were positive to the idea of trying the two wave start. We plan to address the concerns many had including the timing between the two waves and the runners choice between waves. Details will be forthcoming.

For information about the 32nd running of the Leatherman’s Loop, please check back in at our website at http://leathermansloop.org. You can also follow us on facebook facebook.com/leathermansloop or Twitter twitter.com/leathermansloop.

Thanks for your support and — See you on the trails!

If you have already registered, thanks!
See you at the Farm!

We will be placing our Run The Farm custom bib order on October 2nd — if you want your name (or your child’s name) on your race bib (like in this photo), make sure to register before then. We will still be registering runners after the bib order is placed, but those bibs will show a bib number only.

If you are not sure if you have registered — or you want to check on a friend or family member — you can confirm registration status here: https://runsignup.com/Race/RegistrationLookup/?raceId=4257

For the kids races we have ordered a set number of medals. We will cut off registration when we reach that total to ensure we have medals for all kid finishers. Both the kids races and the 5 miler are filling up faster than last year so get your spot now!

We will also be placing the t-shirt order soon. In order to make sure your size is available we recommend pre-ordering a race shirt with your registration. We do order a limited number of extra shirts — but your size may not be available if you wait to buy one at the event.

Registered runners should be on the lookout for a logistics note before the race day. Last year’s note is here and we will send an update closer to the races.

See you on the trails!

Here’s to the Great Loop we are all on

Dear Loop Friends,

A few weeks back was the 2017 Loop which many felt was one of the best for a number of reasons, including weather and numbers, but especially the almost overwhelming beauty. Of course it is beauty that we celebrate every year as the metaphor of our gathering that clearly moves us deeply and inspires us with new hope and possibility: ‘Beauty before me as I run…’ It is something our world is hungry for.

Danny and I have been talking about how to deepen and extend the Loop experience in our lives but also in our world and thought it would be good to begin by asking you to share what the Loop means to you. Danny has reflected in his recent Blog post on some of the elements that he finds meaningful: http://dannymartin.org/the-leathermans-loop/. Take a look and see what his thoughts stir in you and let us know what surfaces. You can comment directly on Danny’s Blog or write to us at the Loop.

We dedicated the Loop this year to the feminine spirit: the birthing energy that is reflected in the new life of spring but also in the leadership role women are taking today in birthing a new society as our old (fear-driven, masculine) one becomes increasingly inadequate. Perhaps, thinking about this might offer a focus for deepening and extending the Loop experience for us all: How do you think you might support this feminine spirit in your life?

Here’s to the great Loop we are all on.
