There have been nearly 15,000 finishers of the Leatherman’s Loop in 25 years. Nearly 8,000 different runners are represented in this group.
The estimate for the past few years has been between 40-50% of runners in a given year returning to run a second loop or higher. On the flip side, each year sees 50-60% of the field as brand new runners.

If your name does not appear and you think it should, take a look at the transcribed results and the results boards to help us track down your results.
It is possible, for example, if you ran under “Bob Smith” one year and “Robert Smith” or “R. Smith” in other years we might not have caught the different spellings and joined them up. It’s also possible that we totally butchered the spelling of your last name (we apologize!) on some of the entries or during the transcription from the results boards. We have done our best to catch these mistakes but sometimes they slip through. Drop us a note pointing us to any information you find that supports your claim.
[Another possibility is if you changed you name due to change in marital status. Unless we were invited to the wedding, it's pretty hard for us to know that!

We won’t just add your name on your say so — we need some evidence to back up your claim. Help us out by checking the results boards and the transcribed results. It is all there (well, except one photo of a results page from 1995, but those are in the transcribed results). Note: if you ran under someone else’s bib (Bandit/Turkey) we will not adjust the results to reflect those runs.
There are an additional 126 runners with 6 Loops plus another 181 runners who have run 5 Loops. This makes 557 runners who have run 5 or more Loops. We have a list of these runners so if you think you are close to 7 or just want to know how many Loops we have tracked for you, get in touch. (Don’t expect a quick answer if you get in touch in late March or April though! )
