Leatherman’s Loop Runners:
There is a great run coming up in a few weeks (Sunday, Oct 19, 2008 at 8:30am) in Bedford, NY called “Where the Pavement Ends.” This will be the second running of the event. We ran the race last year and thought it was great. Longtime Friend of the Loop Geoffrey Morris from Bedford Magazine is the organizer of this fine event.
The run starts and finishes at the John Jay Homestead, going on pavement for just a while and then veering into the country dirt roads of Bedford and through the campus of the Harvey School before circling back to the homestead.
Proceeds from the race will go to support the John Jay Homestead Carriage Barn Campaign as well as Westchester Land Trust and the Bedford Riding Lanes Association.
