The BOWDOIN 5 MILE BUSHWHACK
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28th at 6:30pm
Bowdoin Park, Wappingers Falls, NY
Hello Trail Runners,
Our friend and long-time Leatherman’s Loop runner, Gerry Sullivan, is directing his first trail race, the Bowdoin Bushwhack, on Wednesday, June 28th at 6:30pm.
Gerry is a 2-time Leatherman’s Loop winner (2000, 2001) and is the coach of the Fordham Prep Cross Country team. He has completed 19 Leatherman’s Loop races to date.
You may also know Gerry’s son, Eamonn Sullivan, who won the 2022 Leatherman’s Loop and came in 2nd place in the 2023 Loop. They are the first father-son to win the Leatherman’s Loop!
We have every confidence this race will be a great one based on the knowledge that Gerry has about racing and running.
Anyone who has been involved with New York State cross country knows Bowdoin Park. It is the home of the NY State Section 1 Championships nearly every year. It has also been the site of the New York State High School Cross Country Championships and the Nike Cross Nationals (NXN).
It is a spot famous for decades for cross country and trails. It is also a challenging spot, nestled on a big hill looking out a huge field on the Hudson River in Wappingers Falls.
We think everyone should sign up for this inaugural event. It is only a few short weeks away — and it is on a Wednesday evening as well. So if you have weekend plans it’s not a problem, you can make this race!
The race is capped at 150 runners – so space is limited!

See you on the trails!
