Fall Registration Open!

Dear Trail Runner, Trail Runner Parent, or both,

Registration is open for the return of Run the Farm. This year will be the 14th running of the fall race — and the 16th running of the race overall (when including the 2 Spring Run the Farm races).

Race day features a 5 mile trail run and TWO different age-appropriate KIDS Run the Farm races on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

We encourage runners to sign up early and put the race day in your calendars. 

If you have already signed up – thank you! Please pass this post on to someone you think might be interested in Running the Farm this year. Our best reviews and recommendations come from past runners. We appreciate it when you spread the word.

Signing up early gets your name (or your nickname – or your child’s name or nickname!) on your race bib. Also signing up early ensures we will have your race t-shirt size — we have to place the shirt order well in advance in order to receive them by race day.

The Races

The KIDS Run The Farm trail races are split into two age groups as in past years:

• Ages 7-12 go first at 8:30 a.m. and the distance is 2k (1.1 mile).

• Ages 6 & under go second at 8:45 a.m. and the distance is 1k (0.6 mile).

All kids race finishers receive a medal and $2 in “Farm Bucks” to use at the Muscoot Farmer’s market the day of the race.

The 5 Mile Run The Farm trail race starts at 9:30 a.m. and is open to all ages. All 5 mile race finishers receive $5 in “Farm Bucks” to use at the Muscoot Farmer’s market the day of the race.

Muscoot Farm

We want to thank our gracious hosts at Muscoot Farm, especially Jonathon and Mindy and everyone at the farm who helps get it ready for the event. 

Muscoot Farm is celebrating its 50TH ANNIVERSARY this year.

Muscoot opened as a county park in 1975 and has been an amazing and educational addition to the Westchester County Parks system since then. 

The 50th Anniversary GALA CELEBRATION FUNDRAISER is set for Friday, September 12, 2025 at the Muscoot Farm Mansion from 6pm-10pm.

Dinner is planned along with other activities such as a Silent Auction. Among many items up for auction will be a special item that runners will be interested in — a custom one-of-a-kind RUN THE FARM quilt made of t-shirts from EVERY RUN THE FARM RACE!

Sign up ASAP to reserve one or more of the LIMITED SPOTS in the gala dinner. Once all spots are sold registration will be closed.

PS: Trail Mix Update…. The 2025 Trail Mix Trail Series consists of SEVEN trail races during the year.

Four races remain in 2025: Where The Pavement Ends (Sept 9), Paine to Pain (Oct 12), Run the Farm (Oct 19), and Raven Rocks Run (Nov 9).

Already completed races include Mudders & Grunters (March), the Leatherman’s Loop (April), Spring Run the Farm (May).

Trail Mix information and registration links can be found here: https://trailmixseries.org. All Trail Mix runners who complete the Trail Mix Series by completing at least 4 of the races will be scored and also selected automatically if they enter the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery in January 2026.
